The Job: Associate Programme Management Officer
Under the overall supervision of the Executive Coordinator of CMS Office in Abu Dhabi, the incumbent will work in close collaboration with the Raptors and Dugong Programme Management Officers as follows:
- Assist in developing and supporting effective implementation of the work plans relating to the implementation of the Raptors and Dugong MoUs and other Office activities.
Assist in the resource mobilization for and the planning, development and management (including financial) of projects.
Assist in the planning and servicing of meetings and events.
Lead the coordination of communications and outreach activities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in environmental management, wildlife biology, communication, international relations, public administration, political science, business administration or related area is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two (2) years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in environmental management, wildlife biology, communication, international relations, public administration, political science, business administration or related area is mandatory.
Experience working in international and intergovernmental settings is desirable. Experience working in marine and/or avian species-related areas is an advantage.
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
